KdG was commissioned by Wilmorite to provide Master Planning, Architecture, and Interior Design Services for the design of the latest casino to be added in the state of Illinois. This project is slated to be a multi-phase/multi-year development that will create a destination resort gaming complex on the Illinois/Indiana border. The first phase will consist of 500 slot machines and 12 table games. Supporting the casino floor is a feature sports bar, planned with an array of large screen TV’s to broadcast all of the current sporting events, video poker machines, and an elaborate bottle display. Customers will have an assortment of fresh fare options from a multi-unit food bazaar for fun and fast-casual dining. In addition, a flexible three-meal restaurant that converts to a steakhouse in the evening is planned for the first phase. This venue will comfortably seat approximately 100 guests indoor and outdoor, with an eclectic mix of booth, banquet, and dining table seating. The design will cleverly incorporate local Danville nostalgia in artful techniques. The venue will also include a large bar that offers counter and lounge seating as well as an outdoor seating area for drinking, dining, and socializing. Phase two of the project will expand the casino floor to 1,000 games. Future phases will add a 100 room boutique hotel, a large banquet, and conference facility accommodating approximately 1,000 people.
