18th Air Force Command Renovation – Scott Air Force Base, Illinois

The project involved the complete renovation of the building, site, replacement of all site utilities, MEP and fire sprinklers systems; and an addition to the building to accommodate additional office and mechanical space. The scope of work included documenting observed deficiencies of the existing building and site in terms of compliance with current applicable codes and standards, Anti-terrorism/Force Protection review/compliance, and a review for space-planning needs to accommodate the 18th Air Force Command and Air Mobility Command personnel into Building P-4. KdG also performed a space needs programming analysis to accommodate current and future needs of personnel including conducting interviews with the directorates and key personnel from these Commands accommodating approximately 210 total personnel. Also, portions of the building were classified “Mission Essential” with regards to security and emergency back-up power requirements and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIFs) were also designed.
