The Buffet restaurant is the full implementation of the newly developed brand concept for Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. The Buffet features an expansive food servery area, offering seasonal peak fresh prepared fare sourced from locally produced or grown ingredients. The design concept and floor plan of the space support the freshly prepared food theory unique to a buffet-style restaurant. The buffet is configured to allow the food preparation to take place in the buffet servery and not behind a closed door, enforcing the fresh-made concept. The buffet servery also incorporates several “action cooking stations” where the guest is presented “made-to-order” menu options as well. The main dining room seats 250 people and radiates from the buffet servery central axis point which is the dessert and salad bar. This compels circulation through the servery encouraging unique glimpses into the main focal point area. The interior of the dining room emphasizes the use of natural or repurposed materials; wood plank, ledge stone, and Keri board tabletops, juxtaposed to modern and abstract elements such as wire mesh farm fencing and rolled birch tree bark paper. These components are carefully combined with strong brand identity graphics developed to emphasize the seasonal, fresh message. Interesting angled walls define the seating area which is broken into smaller intimate dining spaces atypical to most standard buffet restaurant designs. Additionally, the Farmer’s Pick Buffet restaurant offers a private dining room seating 18 which can be utilized for special functions.
