Name Change for Indiana Grand Racing & Casino

The owner of a casino in Shelbyville has changed the name of the gaming venue while also marking the completion of a nearly $34 million expansion and renovation. Caesars Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq: CZR) has renamed Indiana Grand Racing & Casino to Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino.

In addition to construction jobs created by the project, the gaming company says 100 jobs were added to the casino payroll.

“Being able to link our property and services to the Horseshoe brand will enhance the gaming, racing, dining and entertainment experience for our guests,” said Steve Jarmuz, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Horseshoe Indianapolis. “The addition of the World Series of Poker Room coupled with our Caesars Race and Sportsbook gives our guests a unique menu of gaming opportunities, all located on one floor.”

Caesar’s acquired Indiana Grand racetrack and casino from Centaur Gaming in 2018.
